After 28 years of handcrafting surfboards
, I have had the opportunity to work with a lot of different materials
from all over the world. I use the strongest materials I can get!
My foam is from South Coast Foam. The guys there have come up with the
hardest foam I have ever shaped. When glassed up, the board is almost
bullet-proof. The blank is bright white, and the cell gives great floatation
and buoyancy to the board.
I also use Burford Foam in the super light density. This is also outstanding
foam, with Don Burford's 40 odd years foam manufacture. He has a great
choice of blanks from Retro to Gun Plugs.
